A sea of people

After Skyping back home this morning we set off down town taking the route that took us along the beachfront and as we turned the corner the sight of the sea of people on Ondaretta beach was quite staggering given it was around 11.00 am and as we neared the town end of La Concha it was even more so

We had our togs with us so it was inevitable that we would get back here later in the day (if there was room!)

Towards Gros there is the Hotel Maria Cristina which we guess is THE hotel in town with bellhops galore. It sat adjacent to the Uremea river and was very stately in appearance, and the interior didn't disappoint

We went and had a look in the shop, they call it the Gourmet Shop, but as we had taken very little money and no credit cards with us today as we had to leave our gear on the beach & you can't be too careful nothing came back out with us!

By now it was well into the afternoon so after lunch and a walk around the Old Town we made our way back to La Concha, found a spot to put the gear down and took to the water - it was very refreshing, cool without being too cold.

By the time we climbed the hill back to the hotel we could well have turned around and gone back done for another dip but instead relaxed in the room for a while before heading out for dinner.
